We wanted to take a minute to answers the most common questions about our new Face Mask (Style #338) product.
Will the masks protect from disease and other infectious microbes?

The new masks are definitively not certified as medical grade surgical masks or respirators - as printed on the care label on the inside of the mask.
It is our response to the need for supplemental protection sprung from the Center For Disease Control (CDC) guidance to healthcare providers for "When No Facemasks are Available", in which homemade items such as scarves and bandanas are a recommended substitute.
Our intent is to support the supplementation of those critical supplies with what resources we have, as well as provide peace-of-mind to the numerous non-medical providers struggling to find a degree of protective barrier for their daily activities.
Can I advertise these as medical devices, respirators or surgical masks?
No. It is important that the masks are not advertised as certified medical devices, and all masks will be produced with clear disclaimers that they are not.
How is it being manufactured to ensure workers and customers are safe?
Since the outset of COVID-19, Through6 has adhered and exceeded recommended guidelines for safe practice, including but not limited to the following:
- Staggered shifts to minimize number of operators in building at any given moment
- Re-arranged floor space to ensure 6' distance between workstations
- Provide all personnel with face masks, required at all times while on premise
- Mandate and reinforce proper hygiene and hand-washing throughout work shifts
- Regular disinfecting of all individual workstations and common areas throughout each day
- Increased accessible provisions of soap and sanitizer throughout building
- Ensure workforce is informed and educated on sick leave policies
- All non-operational personnel are to work from home for duration
- Require any symptomatic personnel to enter sick leave immediately
We will continue to adjust and improve our process as events evolve to optimize the safety and protection of our workforce in these turbulent times.
How long does it take to produce a mask?
Do to exceedingly high demand, Face Masks and all other products are currently experiencing widespread production delays. Priority is being given to Face Masks as an essential product at this time, while standard orders are still also entering production at a slower rate.
We appreciate your understanding of the situation, as we are experiencing unprecedented demand for critically sensitive equipment, much of which is going straight to front-line healthcare, emergency and law enforcement providers in response to COVID-19. We are working around the clock to ensure orders are being processed as fast, and as safely as possible.
Excessively large orders will require additional time.
Can the masks be sublimated/printed on?
Absolutely! You can download the design template in your client portal under Style #338. If you do not see the style available try logging out and back in to your account. If that does not expose the style, please reach out to [email protected] for help.
Note, only the outside face panel of the mask is printable, wherein the inside of the mask will be white with care label.
What is the difference between a 5 and 8 inch strap?
The size of the mask that covers the face is identical between the two sizes, however the straps that loop around the ears are different lengths to suit different faces. The 8 inch strap should be a comfortable fit for most adults, whereas the 5 inch strap would be suitable for petite or young adult wearers.

What does it cost to ship a mask?
At this time masks will ship between $0.75 and $3 for standard domestic service and up to $8 for priority packaging. The range is dependent on tracking availability, however we will be updating this for clarity as masks begin to ship consistently.
Is there a way to see what my design will look like on a Mask?
We've made a Smart Object Photoshop file available to both preview your design, and generate mockups for selling via your own site. You only need download the .PSD file here and follow the simple instructions to use!
