How do I combine orders together?
There are plenty of reasons you may want to merge orders together to combine shipments, and we're happy to support that need to the best of our ability via your Through6 Portal.
You can easily access this feature via the Order View page, accessible from your Dashboard, or by searching for the order number directly. Once you're on the order page, you will see a new action to Merge Order available.
Using this action will take you to a new page where you must search for another order to merge with. The does require that both orders are already created and qualified within your portal.
If the order you're intending to merge does not appear in the available list, please check the spelling of your order number.
Also note that not all orders will qualify to be merged, with reasons listed below, in which they will not appear in the available list of orders.
- If one of the orders is canceled or shipped already.
- If one order is in production at a facility unable to produce one of the items on the alternate order.
Once a qualified order is selected you will now have to decide which order information becomes the primary information, including destination address and fulfillment service.
Any of the above details can of course be edited on the final order page, after the fact, however if no changes are made then all items will use the destination and service selected at this time.
And lastly, you will have a final opportunity to confirm your Order Merge, which cannot be undone once complete. Please take special care in this process to ensure the correct orders are being combined and there are no errors in the order details.
